FIRE BURNING WITHIN

Fire burning within, sparked by untold longings down through centuries of waiting for the Divine.

A hunger, a thirst; deep calling unto deep for birthing.

Mary’s longing for the WORD…

Turmoil and unrest raking inner spirits, taking shape into dreams of MISSION

far beyond his here-and-now.

– a task mammoth for such an ordinary man.

Arnold Janssen’s dream pushing back horizons…

Cries of abandoned children

Leaping beyond seas and mountains of strange cultures, searing a heart aching  to leave all,

to love whom the Beloved loves.

Helena Stollenwerk pining for China, inner strength firmed by years of waiting…

From tender years innate compassion shaping tender heart for service,

utter simplicity marking her giving.

Single-hearted devotion.  Joy. Heart ever attuned to what her Beloved wanted.

Hendrina Stenmanns wanting to be the least. Servant-heart…

Mary, Arnold, Helena, Hendrina,

– all pining for the ONE thing necessary: The Beloved. Messiah.

Spirit-stirred to become the manger-crib for The WORD to be born –

in the hearts of all people of all nations…

…and my heart,

for whom does it pine?

Re-kindle in us the fire of your love, Spirit-God within us!
