Ministries of the SSpS

MINISTRIES OF THE SSpS

We are educators, healers, peacemakers, and companions. Women set ablaze by love for Christ, learning to see the world through God’s eyes. Our mission is both global and deeply personal. We reach every continent, but our purpose is simple: to touch hearts and transform lives.

EDUCATION

“We don’t just teach… we light minds, inspire hearts, and awaken dreams.”

A classroom is not just a room with desks. It is a threshold. Every child who walks in carries a universe of possibility. We are there to ignite curiosity, to ask questions that have no easy answers, and to show young people that their minds are gifts meant to shape the world. We teach because we believe in the power of a single idea to change everything.

HEALTH — NURSE

“With every wound we bind, we become a sign of God’s healing love.”

In rural clinics where medicine is scarce and in bustling hospitals where chaos is constant, we are present. We hold hands that tremble. We clean wounds that others cannot bear to look at. We sit with the dying so they do not die alone. Healing is not just about curing bodies—it is about restoring dignity, one touch at a time.

HEALTH — DOCTOR

“Every heartbeat tells a story. We are called to protect the gift of life.”

Where others see symptoms, we see persons. Where others see statistics, we see stories. As doctors, we bring not only medical expertise but a profound reverence for the sacredness of every life. In delivery rooms, in emergency wards, in the most vulnerable moments of human existence, we are there—not just to treat, but to treasure.

ADVOCATE / LEGAL APOSTOLATE

“We stand beside the vulnerable, because justice belongs to everyone.”

Justice is not an abstract concept. It is a mother fighting for her child, a worker denied their wages, a family facing eviction. We step into courtrooms, into government offices, into places where decisions are made—and we ask the hard questions. We give voice to those who have been silenced, not because we are louder, but because we refuse to look away.

COMMUNICATION

“Our voices carry more than words—they carry truth, hope, and the love of God.”

In a world flooded with noise, authentic storytelling is a form of mission. Through radio, digital media, and print, we amplify stories that would otherwise go unheard. We use the power of communication not to sell, but to serve—to shine light on injustice, to celebrate resilience, and to remind the world that every person matters.

PASTORAL — AMONG THE PEOPLE

“We walk with people, listen to their stories, and journey together in faith.”

There is no pulpit between us and the people we serve. We live among them, in their neighborhoods, in their struggles, in their celebrations. We listen to the elderly who feel forgotten, to the young who are searching, to families who are barely holding on. Pastoral ministry is not about bringing God to people—it is about discovering God already present in their midst.

SOCIAL WORK — WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

“When a woman discovers her strength, she unlocks a future filled with dignity and hope.”

We place a key into another woman’s hand—not a key to a door we built, but a key to the door of her own potential. Through education, skills training, and accompaniment, we walk alongside women who have been told they are not enough. We help them discover that they are more than enough—they are powerful, resilient, and worthy of every dream they carry.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING — RESCUE & REHABILITATION

“Every survivor of human trafficking deserves more than rescue—they deserve healing, dignity, and a future.”

We have received desperate messages in the middle of the night—a woman trapped, terrified, her only hope a phone and a prayer. We have walked into dangerous places to bring survivors out. But rescue is only the beginning. We provide shelter, counseling, legal support, and a path to rebuild lives shattered by exploitation.

RETREAT GUIDING

“In a world filled with noise, we help people discover the peace that only God can give.”

Silence is a gift we offer to a world that has forgotten how to be still. In retreat houses and quiet spaces, we create room for people to breathe, to reflect, and to encounter the God who speaks in whispers. We guide not with lectures, but with presence—holding space for transformation to happen naturally.

FORMATION — FORMING MISSIONARIES

“Every missionary journey begins with one courageous ‘Yes.’ We accompany that journey.”

We nurture young saplings—women who have said “yes” to a call they do not yet fully understand. Through prayer, study, community life, and hands-on mission experience, we form hearts that are ready to serve. We do not create missionaries; we accompany the Holy Spirit in shaping them.

LEADERSHIP / ADMINISTRATION

“Leadership is listening, discerning, and guiding our mission with courage, wisdom, and love.”

Leadership in our congregation is not about power—it is about service. We sit at the head of a table not to command, but to listen deeply, to discern together, and to make decisions that serve the mission. Good leadership means knowing when to speak and when to be silent, when to guide and when to follow.

TREASURER / ECONOMER

“We don’t simply manage finances… we steward God’s gifts so that mission can flourish.”

Every coin counted, every budget balanced, every resource allocated—these are acts of love. We manage not just money, but the trust placed in us by donors and communities. Our task is to ensure that God’s gifts are used wisely, so that mission can reach every corner of the earth.

ADVOCACY

“Our mission reaches beyond communities to advocate for justice, human dignity, and the care of our common home.”

At the United Nations and in advocacy networks around the world, we raise our voices. We speak for the earth that is being exploited, for communities displaced by climate change, for people whose rights are denied. Advocacy is not a side project—it is integral to who we are as women who believe that faith without justice is incomplete.

YOUTH MINISTRY

“Young hearts are full of dreams. We walk with them as they discover purpose, hope, and God’s call.”

With backpacks and open hearts, we journey alongside young people—on pilgrimages, in youth groups, through the questions that keep them awake at night. We do not give them answers. We walk with them as they find their own. We believe that the future of the Church is not something to worry about—it is something to invest in, one young person at a time.

Our Missionary Service

“We, Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit, are an international and intercultural religious congregation rooted in Trinitarian Spirituality, called to live and proclaim the Gospel of God’s Love, Peace, and Justice.”

Our mission exists to bring God’s love and tangible help to the destitute, the disenfranchised, the suffering, and the marginalized—with a special focus on the empowerment of women. Wherever the Spirit leads, we go—not as saviors, but as companions. Not to impose, but to accompany. Not to convert, but to witness.

Called by the Spirit. Sent to the world. Transformed by love.

a dejar crecer vida nueva?
