Happy Easter (2021)
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/ljFnNCuNDgU”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On Sunday morning, Mary Magdalene walks to the tomb, overcome with grief and fear caused by the horrific series of events that began on Holy Thursday night. She arrives and finds the tomb empty! She is shaken to the core of her being. Then, to her surprise, at the door of the tomb, she encounters her beloved Master alive. He fills her with the joy and hope of new life. This Easter joy empowers her to run back with all her might to bring the Good News of hope to her fellow disciples who are still gripped by fear and sorrow. Although they respond with many doubts and questions, they too run to witness the signs of life in the empty tomb.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, all of us have been experiencing the pain of loss, fear and emptiness in one way or another. Easter comes with the message, “hope never fails”. Wherever we are and whatever we do, we are called to be the Mary Magdalens of our time; to be courageous and to proclaim that Christ is alive, even, and especially, in the midst of pain and chaos.
May the light of Easter fill the hearts of all people with joy and hope![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
