15GC Prayer

Faith Sharing – January 20

Let us withdraw with Jesus to wherever He wants us to be…

Mark 3: 7-12

Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake, and a large crowd from Galilee followed.  When they heard about all he was doing, many people came to him from Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, and the regions across the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon.  Because of the crowd he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him, to keep the people from crowding him.  For he had healed many, so that those with diseases were pushing forward to touch him.  Whenever the impure spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.” But he gave them strict orders not to tell others about him.

“Through the indwelling Holy Spirit our prayers become powerful enough to pierce the clouds and our works are made holy. Each of us should strive to truly love the Holy Spirit with all our heart and to work to promote his glory in others. The more a missionary does this, the more the great Giver of graces- God’s Holy Spirit- will bless his/her work. Courage! God does not abandon his Church.”

(Arnold Janssen: Words to light our path, p. 35).

Silent Reflection

1. What feelings are in your heart as you begin this day?

2. The crowd searched for him and St. Arnold invites us to be led by God´s holy will. What do you need to leave aside so as to be led by the Holy Spirit?

3. What grace do you wish to ask for this day for the whole Chapter?
