[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Word of God became a human being and dwelt among us.
This is a great mystery and a fact that we believe in, that we treasure profoundly, that we share with the people and the whole Creation. God incarnate in a human being – Jesus Christ – Emmanuel with us – with each one of us, with our communities and with all humanity. May this Christmas time newly awaken in us this vital and powerful truth, which affirms that God loves us, and accompany us with his presence.
God – Emmanuel is the source of the vocation of thousands of Servants of the Holy Spirit who incarnated him throughout 130 years inside and outside the Congregation. How much welcoming and how many consoling gestures, how many good, encouraging, motivating words and messages, how many loving and caring deeds, how many hours and years of presence with the poor, marginalized, sick, children, youth and adults… how many….
All of these are signs of the incarnation of God dwelling in us and through us sharing his dwelling with others. It has to fill us with deep joy, happiness and gratitude.
Pope Francis in his Apostolic letter ADMIRABILE SIGNUM on the meaning and importance
of the nativity scene published just few days ago says: “As we contemplate the Christmas story, we are invited to set out on a spiritual journey, drawn by the humility of the God who became man in order to encounter every man and woman. We come to realize that so great is his love for us that he became one of us, so that we in turn might become one with him”.
May this Christmas thus motivate us even more to make of our encounters signs of God’s tender presence and so make a difference in our communities and in the world. Let us continue incarnating God and so becoming the Good News for the whole of Creation.
