The evening of March 11 was a special time for the 6th International Assembly of Formators. After days of meetings, the participants joined the Steyl community for a night of prayer, food, and fun.
It all began with Holy Mass in the chapel. Gathered together, the sisters gave thanks and set a joyful tone for the evening ahead.
After Mass, everyone moved to the dining hall for dinner and recreation. Soon, the assembly members took turns sharing their cultures. Sisters from different countries presented foods from home, wore beautiful traditional attire, and showed religious and cultural practices unique to their people. There were songs and dances that filled the room with life and color. Some demonstrated how visitors are welcomed in their homeland. It was a joyful way to experience the many faces of our SSpS family.
The Steyl community also joined in the fun. They surprised everyone with a special song in German—all about the “rollator,” a common sight around their retirement home. The lighthearted number brought laughter and cheers from the crowd.
By the end of the evening, the room was full of storytelling, smiles, and shared moments. Sisters tried new foods, learned new steps, and simply enjoyed being together. It was a night of communion and joy—a beautiful reminder that we are one family, wherever we come from.
