Closing of the Assembly

October 30th was turned into a memorable day with the Closing Eucharist that was given a festive atmosphere with Diwali lights brightening and warming the assembly hall. The members gathered in the inner courtyard of Don Bosco Skill Mission. Led by a colorful bible procession, the Sisters moved to the assembly hall for the closing Mass. Fr Thomas Mathew CMI, the vice Chancellor of Christ University presided over the Eucharist. Fr. Maran SDB, the Director of DB Skill Mission concelebrated. The hymns were sung in different languages, prayers said in mother tongues, and the Indian ritual of arathi was performed at the doxology. At the conclusion the CLT sent the Sisters forth with a small candle which symbolized their call to share the light of this assembly.

 

 

The Don Bosco Skill Mission group prepared a sumptuous meal. At the close of the meal Sr. Maria Theresia expressed vote of thanks for the good service, facilities, food and care provided by DB Skill Mission team. Tokens of gratitude and acknowledgement were given the director, members of the staff and students.

Sister expressed her gratitude to the SSpS in Bangalore who made every arrangement towards the success of this assembly. Truly it was a labor of love and dedication!

With a sense of deep gratitude and satisfaction, the 5th International Assembly of the provincial/Regionals came to conclusion on October 30. Leaving room for nostalgia, members gradually began bidding each other goodbye.
